We construct trusted an accessible teaching and learning platforms where marginalized communities can be empowered to improve public educational systems while also addressing the urgency for healing and recovery.
Edunia designs learning experiences that help individuals live within their purpose and develop the skills to positively influence future generations. Our work emphasizes that education extends beyond the classroom as a shared community responsibility.
We equip parents, community members, and advocates to translate real-life experiences into lessons that foster resilience, love, and passion in young people. By addressing educational inequities and promoting collaboration, Edunia ensures that learning and leadership remain collective efforts that strengthen both schools and communities.

“A global crisis revealed what we should have known all along. Education’s purpose is not to produce test scores, but to cultivate the wisdom to live fully."
About Our Founder
Meet Dr. Martina Van Norden
Martina Van Norden is an educator, entrepreneur, minister, and visionary bridge-builder who believes that purpose is the heartbeat of learning. Her education career started in a District of Columbia classroom and took wings in entrepreneurship, Martina turned her passion for teaching into Edunia—a movement that connects schools, communities, and faith partners to reimagine what equitable education can be.
After years of inspiring students, Martina was tapped to help design curriculum for charter innovators, a project that sparked her consulting journey. Her sharp insight into school improvement, community development, and public policy has made her a trusted thought partner for leaders seeking to move from underperformance to purpose-driven progress.
A self-published author of The Edunia Experience: Birthing a Generation of Purpose, Martina thrives on helping marginalized groups break through institutional, racial, and economic barriers. She believes that when brave spaces are created, people discover their purpose—and communities thrive together.
With degrees from Hampton University and American University (where she earned her Master’s and Doctorate in Education Policy & Leadership), Martina continues to champion access, accountability, and advocacy as the keys to educational equity. Her work is inspired by her deep commitment to raising up the next generation—especially Black men—toward lives of excellence and impact.
